1. Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Only items purchased directly on our website are eligible for return. If you purchased from a Death By Audio retailer or distributor, you will need to go through them to make the return.
The buyer is responsible for covering their own return shipping costs and generating their own shipping label.

If your return request is approved and requires shipping, you will receive an email with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. After the product is returned and inspected, you will receive a refund to your original payment method.
Refunds do not include any shipping or insurance costs you may have paid on the order.

2. European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
3. International Shipments and Customs / Duties Fees
Orders shipped outside the United States are subject to import duties, tariffs, taxes, VAT, and other fees. It is the buyer’s responsibility to understand these costs before making a purchase.
You are responsible for tracking your package (tracking information will be provided via email).
Packages returned to us due to non-payment of import fees or failure to pick up will not be refunded whatsoever.
When packages are returned to us for lack of pickup or payment of import fees, the shipping carrier charges us to ship the package back to us, as well as pay the unpaid import fees.
If a package is returned to us for lack of customs payment and/or pickup, the package will be donated to charity.
We highly recommend contacting your local shipping carrier in advance to pay any import fees and avoid extra charges or potential package returns.
4. Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

5. Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
If your pedal stops working after the 30-day return period, we offer free lifetime repairs. Before reaching out, check our Pedal FAQ for troubleshooting tips. If you still need help, you can contact our repairs team through this form.
6. Repair Policy (Updated 10/28/2025)
Death By Audio offers free lifetime repairs on all Death By Audio pedals (for the life of the company), no matter the issue. Customers are responsible for shipping costs both ways.
To send in your pedal for repair, you’ll need to cover the cost of shipping it to us and provide your own shipping label. When your pedal is ready to be returned, we’ll generate a shipping label and send you an online invoice for the return shipping cost. Once that’s paid, we’ll ship your repaired pedal back to you.

International Customers:
Although repairs should not be subject to import duties or tariffs, we have seen an influx of countries inaccurately charging these fees. We always do our best to declare packages accurately and clearly as repaired goods, but unfortunately, we have no control over how customs or import agents classify your shipment. If your country applies import fees, it is your responsibility to pay them.
Because of these changes, we strongly recommend finding a qualified technician in your country to handle repairs locally. Your technician is welcome to contact our repair team with any questions at repairs@deathbyaudio.com.
7. Cancellations
You may request to cancel your order, or an item from your order, before it has been fulfilled. If an item has already been fulfilled, you may no longer cancel the item.
